Kimi no Soba is a fanlisting for Yuki Yoshihara’s manga series Cho yo Hana yo, also known as Butterflies, Flowers. This is a fanlisting for the series in general, not particular characters, pairings, story arcs or volumes.
The name Kimi no Soba is a pun: it can mean both “Close to You” and “Your Noodle.” I chose this site title because of the main character, Choko, helps out at her formerly-venerable family’s soba shop, while trying to come to terms with falling in love with her former servant now-boss Masayuki Domoto at her new job at Benten Estates!
About Cho yo Hana yo
Cho yo Hana yo is eight volumes long, and has been licensed for release by Viz Media in English (United States), Soleil Manga in French (France), Tong Li Publishing Co. in Mandarin (Taiwan), and Shogakukan Ltd. in Japanese (Japan).
The series goes by a variety of other titles, including Ma Petite Maîtresse (My Little Mistress)and Miss Butterfly Child (an approximate translation of the Mandarin/Taiwan release title), 蝶子小姐. It has also mistakenly been called “Chiyo Hana yo,” due to the small “yo” character in the Japanese that turns the “chi” syllable into a “yo” (thereby forming “Cho”). However, the correct Japanese title is Cho yo Hana yo.
